Concerns are proposals to change the way the people in power do things.
You can post concerns about the government, a political party, your local council, or even the parent teacher association of your local school.
Every concern has a voting widget allowing you to vote for or against it. A running score is kept, showing the current popularity of the concern. Each vote for the concern adds 1 to the score; each vote against decreases it by 1. Simple.
Invite your friends, family and colleagues to vote on your concerns, boosting their popularity and giving momentum to the causes that matter to you.
You have to be logged in to the site to post concerns. Registration is simple and fast.
- To submit, click Submit your concern! in the home page menu.
- Choose a category for your concern, then provide a short summary in the Title field.
- If you wish you can describe your concern in greater detail in the Description field.
- Click Submit.
That's it! Your concern is now published to the world, ready to be voted and commented on.

Every concern has a voting widget, with up and down buttons which when clicked will increase or decrease the concern's overall score.
Once you have voted on a concern, the score will update and the buttons become disabled, so you can only vote once on each concern.
When logged in, you'll see a Post your comment box at the foot of concern pages, where you can have your say.

Your profile shows you how popular your concerns are, and keeps track of concerns you have voted on, commented on, or bookmarked.
On the summary tab you can see:
- a graph showing how other Concerned Citizens rate your concerns,
- your overall Concerned Citizen rank,
- the number of positive and negative votes you have cast, and
- the number of comments you've posted.

Bookmarks allow you to save concerns for easy retrieval later.
To bookmark a concern, click its grey star. This is located either to the left of its name in a list, or on the right of its individual concern page.
When you click the star, it will light up to show that the concern is bookmarked. Click the star again to remove the bookmark.
You can find a list of bookmarked concerns on your My profile > My bookmarks page.
We've added some policies from the main UK parties to get the debate started, and to demonstrate what Concerned Citizens can do when they support or reject existing policy.
Concerned Citizen was started and is maintained by Laurence Diver.
