1. Terms & Conditions

A. Acceptance of terms

i. By accessing this site or using any part of the site or any content or services on the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy set out below. If you do not agree with either these Terms & Conditions or the Privacy Policy, you may not access the site or use the content or services contained in it.

B. Registration

i. In order to submit concerns and/or comment on or vote on concerns, you are required to register with Concerned Citizen and select a password and username. You may not (i) select or register as a username a name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person; (ii) register as a username a name subject to any rights of a person other than you without appropriate authorization; or (iii) register as a username a name that is otherwise offensive, vulgar or obscene. Concerned Citizen reserves the right to refuse registration of, or cancel a registered account at its discretion.

ii. Registration on Concerned Citizen is limited to individuals who are at least 13 years old.

C. User conduct

i. As a condition of use, you undertake not to use the site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms & Conditions or the Privacy Policy set out below, or any other purpose not reasonably intended by Concerned Citizen.

ii. You agree not to use the site in any of the following ways:

- abusing, threatening, impersonating or intimidating others;
- to posting or transmitting, or causing to be posted or transmitted, any content that is infringing, defamatory, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or third party rights;
- posting or transmitting, or causing to be posted or transmitted, any communication or solicitation intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any Concerned Citizen user;
- creating or submitting unwanted email to any email addres;
- submitting concerns or comments linking to affiliate programs, multi-level marketing schemes, sites repurposing existing stories;
- acting with the intention of artificially inflating or altering the vote score on a concern or concerns, including by way of creating separate user accounts for the purpose of artificially altering the site; giving or receiving money or other remuneration in exchange for votes; or participating in any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the site's data;
to advertise to, or solicit, any user to buy or sell any products or services.

iii. Concerned Citizen reserves the absolute right to remove any content submitted by users, as well as user accounts and information where breach of these Terms and Conditions or the Privacy Policy set out below is ascertained.  Breaches can be reported to contact@concernedcitizen.co.uk.

D. Use of content supplied by you

i. Except as expressly provided otherwise in the Privacy Policy set out below, you agree that by posting messages, uploading files, inputting data, or engaging in any other form of communication with or through the site, you grant Concerned Citizen a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, enhance, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, display, or sublicense any such communication in any medium (now in existence or hereinafter developed) and for any purpose, including commercial purposes, and to authorize others to do so. In addition, please be aware that information you disclose in publicly accessible portions of the site will be available to all users of the site, and you should therefore consider any personal information or other content you may wish to post.

E. Jurisdiction

i. These Conditions and the Privacy Policy set out below are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.  You must agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

F. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

i. THE SERVICE, CONTENT, AND SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS. 2. Privacy Policy

a. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who post concerns, comments and votes our database, as well as aggregate information on what pages users access or visit and information volunteered by the user such as survey information and/or site registrations.

b. The information we collect is used to improve the content of the site, used to customize the content and/or layout of pages for individual users, used to notify users about updates to the site, disclosed when legally required to do so at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the site and applicable laws or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the site.

c. We use cookies to store users' preferences, customize Web page content based on users' browser type or other information that the user sends.

d. From time to time, we may use user information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy policy.
